AirScope Case Study

Embedded RF evidence workflows from capture to report.

AirScope demonstrates RTG LLC work across connected devices, wireless capture, normalized data models, operational dashboards, and engineering deliverables.

Engineering scope

A complete prototype workflow, not just a dashboard.

The Stage 1 AirScope build connects RF collection, parser reliability, observation normalization, analyst review, survey finalization, and automatic documentation. It is a controlled-pilot engineering example suitable for showing RTG's approach to complex embedded and connected-system work.

RTG Contributions

  • Embedded capture workflow coordination for HaLow and Wi-Fi paths
  • Normalized observations and evidence exports for engineering review
  • Operational UI for AP inventory, channel analysis, and survey state
  • Automated Markdown, HTML, PDF, CSV, JSON, and JSONL output paths

Pattern of Life

Wireless observations become more useful when they show recurrence and change.

AirScope is positioned to support pattern-of-life review for wireless environments: recurring AP presence, first-seen and last-seen timing, band and channel usage, signal trend, and survey-to-survey changes can be reviewed as engineering evidence rather than one-off scan results.

Review Signals

  • First-seen, last-seen, recurrence, and observation count
  • Band, channel, frequency, and signal trend over a survey
  • Known, new, missing, or anomalous AP behavior
  • Exportable evidence for follow-up analysis and reporting
